bulletproof coffee taste
question for those who do keto/bulletproof coffee.
what is the tastiest recipe you've found?
i would love to get close to flavor of coffeemate, but keep missing the mark.
my current recipe is:
* coconut oil
* butter
* heavy whipping cream
* sugar free hazelnut syrup
* spenda

The only way to change the taste honestly is to change up the sugar free syrup you are using.
Or try changing out the coconut oil for MCT oil. (Not sure that would change the taste, but it might)
You can also check out Prymal Creamers. They are keto friendly, sugar free, clean creamers that were designed to take the place of all the junk in coffee mate.
Maybe adding a scoop of that to the bullet proof coffee would help the flavor
It contains MCT oil as well

Are you using unsalted butter? Maybe that would help? The butter/salty taste is really what I think makes it a little weird to get used to

yes, unsalted butter.
i do have mct oil, cacao butter, and coconut milk.
i guess i'll play around with all of these and the flavorings i use.
i was just being lazy and wanting someone else to figure out what i will like to drink lol... like any good american.

I would have black coffee and a couple hard boiled eggs. That sounds like you’re ruining coffee!

When doing keto you need to hit a certain amount of fat each day, this helps get you there. Also the MCTs from the coconut oil is supposed to give you energy and keep you full longer. It's almost like a meal replacement. It's not for me, but that's the reasoning behind it in the Ketogenic world.

I love me some BP coffee. I use coffee, spectrum coconut oil, random coconut creme like the goya brand and some cinnamon. Sometimes I put some KeriGold butter in.
eta: sometimes a dash of nutmeg.

i found my holy grail!!!
all i needed was to up my spice (cinnamon - yum) and add a dash of salt.
my coffee is delish, again!!
ps. my weight is now at 148.6.
i'm so happy.
skin removal surgery is scheduled for next month. i can't wait. excited, nervous, and every other emotion.
it's been a long road, but i'm so happy to be here.
