Bump Emergency

So 2 weeks ago nothing then yesterday I was showing in my denim shirt at a Super Bowl party. Today I'm in scrubs but DH commented on it and I feel like co workers are staring. I didn't want to say anything for another 2 week but I don't think I can hide it anymore.

What would you do?

I will post a pic when I get home

I showed very early both times. I just didn't say anything until I was ready. Luckily no one flat out asked me until after I was ready to tell but I was definitely getting belly stares a good 2 weeks before I came out. I also never did a big announcement, just told by boss then other coworkers on an as needed basis (I hate being the center of attention) so there were people who didn't officially "know" until I was huge.

Wear a size larger scrubs & untuck the top.

It's almost impossible to tell in scrubs if untucked: you will see it, but it makes it very hard for others.

How far along are you? If you can't hide it anymore then I guess I would just say something.

You're noticing it (and your husband) because you're conscious of it. Most people aren't looking at your stomach and won't notice it. And if they do, who cares? It's your business to share when you're ready.

I started showing early with my 2nd pregnancy, about 2-3 weeks before I came out at work. I definitely had a small bump, but once I went public only one person said that she had noticed. Most had no idea.

It's nobody's business. Tell them when you're ready--let them stare if they want.

I was showing VERY early, my belly rounded out at 11/12 weeks and I was in maternity clothes at that point. I didn't want to say anything at work until later, and I was getting asked on a daily basis, to the point that I got really upset with the person asking. I finally had to come out at 16 weeks, there was just no hiding it anymore.

That's exactly what's going on with me 11 weeks and rounded. I'm in maternity pants when not working.

This. I just ignored the stares and people's round about prying comments. I told who I wanted when I wanted.

Well you are close to the NT scan if you were holding off until then, if not then just pay no attention to what others are thinking and come out when you are ready. I think my coworkers just thought I was gaining weight at first.

True. I'll just stick to my original plan and not say a word for 2 weeks. I'll just let them think it's a beer belly or whatever they like.

Maybe they think you over ate at your Super Bowl party. Hold off, they can assume, but they won't ask, god forbid they asked and you weren't.

I don't think its legal for them to outright ask. If you can, I would hold off until you're ready.

Bump Emergency

At 9w3d, my normal pooch is rounder all of a sudden. I haven't even had my first appt yet! I don't think I'll be able to keep it in much longer.

Re: Bump Emergency

If you really want to keep it hidden for another 2 weeks, try lose tops with scarves and leggings or skinny jeans.
