ETA: I am using Shira Z and she goes within 30 miles:) I live out east in Medford so when I mapquested it, it seems that the furthest point 30 miles east of her (Long Beach) would be around Melville:)

Sunken Meadow has lots of nice park areas with trees, water, bridges, paths......
Hoyt Farm is also great!!!

More out of the way but I would look at Caumsett in Lloyd Neck or Bayard Arboretum in Oakdale!

How about Hoyt Farm-playgrounds, big pond with weeping willows, chickens and an old house, woods, etc..

Sorry it is Old Westbury Gardens. I believe you can walk around. I think there is a fee. But I haven’t been there in a long time. Couple of years or so. I would call to double check.

planting fields is nice too in oyster bay. i think there is a 50 fee. westbury prob had a fee too.

Planting Fields is great - I think the fee is $100 though.
I bet Shira has some great locations in mind that she can suggest.

yup it's free..up until memorial weekend I think. I know it's free for sure bc we were there today. love hecksher.
