Bundle me and car seat question...
After reading the posts on winter coats and car seats, I will no longer be strapping in ds will the buckles over the jacket.
My question is will he be warm enough if I put him in a sweatshirt, and place him in the car seat with the bundle me covering him and two blankets and a hat. I plan on going to some stores today, but he will be going from car to store. He won't be outside for a long period of time. He is only eight months and I don't want him to be cold.

That's pretty much what I did all winter long last year. I can't see how he'd be cold like that!

I did that last year - but then heard a lecture (not an ad for anything) on car seat safety from the guy in Mineola who a lot of the moms on here know and he said that they aren't really designed for the seats by the manufacturers and that they are not safe either. So for this coming baby I'm getting that other one that goes over the seat not under them.

I've been doing that (just putting him in a sweater or sweatshirt) with a blanket on him and I have the bundle me light. Most of the time when I take him out he is HOT! The only part of him exposed is his face (and his hands when he sneaks them out).

*Technically* the Bundle Me isn't considered safe. The hospital made us remove ours before leaving the hospital with Eliza. Thank goodness it was 70 degrees that day.

The Bundle Me isn't safe, since it's not tested for your particular seat and can interfere with the straps. They make the type that goes over the carseat like a shower curtain and as shown in that video, I would get that. I had one when DS was a baby and it was fine.

I have one from Kiddopotamus & Co. , they sell them at BRU, Target and Walmart. Cheaper than BundleMe's and safer.
