burping your baby at night
When DD drinks her last bottle, she falls asleep. But sometimes she'll take 2 ounces and I don't want to put her down without burping her. So i wind up waking her up to burp her, then she's either up and will drink more, and we get into the same situation or she just won;t burp. What do you do?

Brielle does the same thing. I usually keep trying to get that burp for a while but it usually doesn't work. Once she is asleep all bets are off.

Re: burping your baby at night
Same here - once dd is out, we let her stay out :) I do hold/rock her with her head over my shoulder for a few minutes, just so I feel she's all 'settled' (plus its nice just holding her hee).
sometimes she starts to fuss afterwards then I pick her up and she may let out a nice burp and i then just rock her a bit till she falls back asleep. Otherwise, she may just let out a burp at the next feeding when I pick her up to change her etc and is usually OK.

Re: burping your baby at night
Thanks! Sometimes she'll just sleep through but other times (like 2 nights ago) she started to cry, so DH picked her up, she burped and went back to sleep.

Re: burping your baby at night
When Michael used to fall asleep with his bottle, I always picked him up so that he was resting on my shoulder, just to get things flowing, lol. He never layed flat and was always on an incline too, so that made me feel better...
