Re: Businesses on Long Island
not that great...I am applying everywhere....but only heard from two companies. One my friend gave my number to and I dont want that one at all and the other was for a customer service position. I told them to keep my resume so if a Marketing position comes up they can let me know. My friend works there Scott

Re: Businesses on Long Island
Have you looked into Geico and Delta Funding? They are both in Woodbury.
As for schools, there are non-certified jobs in the district office - like technology, etc. What about looking into the civil service tests? go to the Nassau and Suffolk County sites - they probably have a bunch of jobs you may be interested in.
Here's one for webmaster: Job Number: NABN0026710-0000 School District: Nassau BOCES Job Start Date: 01/14/2008 Application Deadline: 03/15/2008 Job Title: Web Master Job Description: Nassau BOCES is seeking an experienced Web master to join nationally recognized, award-winning communications and marketing team. Preferred candidate will be proficient with technology and interactive, online communications and understand the strategic role they play in all branding, communications and marketing. Responsible for developing, organizing and managing Web sites, and maintaining and installing hardware and software required for Internet, intranet and extranet portals. Minimum five years experience with technical architecture of Web sites and knowledge of HTML, FrontPage, JavaScript, FileMaker Pro, ASP.Net and various Web and network utilities. Must have a customer-service mentality, be a team player, and able to provide technical support and training.
