busing question
does anyone know- if I live in nyc - right at he border- will they bus my kid to long island? we are contemplating a private school that right over the long island, and we may be moving right over hte border the other way- into NYC. i guess i have to call the school, this jsut occured to me

Call the school...its the only way you will know for sure. I live 5 houses from where the bus stops to pick up the kids but they say that my house address is less than the required distance for those that can get the bus. I can see the kids get on the bus every morning but I have to get in the car and drive my daughter to school every morning instead of walking her up those few houses away

I would definitely call the school but I know on LI, they have to bus you up to fifteen miles. My brother was bused from Suffolk to Nassau - don't know if that changes from Queens to Nassau because I'm not sure if it's a state or county rule.
