Buttermilk
What recipes call for buttermilk? Breakfast or dinner?
Can I use it to substitute for heavy cream in any recipe or is that gross?

The substitute I use is one cup milk wiht one Tablespoon vinergar (lemon juice can also be used). This is commonly used!

a number of cake recipes call for it. You can add lemon juice to regular milk i think. They also sell something in the baking aisle that you add to milk i think...
