buy zoysia on Long Island?
I've called a bunch of nurseries and sod farms - I can't find them.
Does anyone know of any place that sells them?

Not on the island I would think. It's a southern grass. Dies off during the winter.

We have it. My landscaper said it's really not great for this climate however in the summertime it does look very nice. we do get some dried out patches in the winter but it always comes back. Have you tried calling some landscapers? they should know where to get it.

I know it goes brown in the winter, it's ok, it's for the backyard only, I need something that the dogs will have a difficult time killing.

No, but now that you mention it , I will look for it in a seed, I thought it only came in plugs.

i bought plugs online b/c i had a hard time finding them. we already have zoysia, but 2 spots are really brown for holidays decorations. we'll see if they work!

Not anymore, It's been a while but if I remember correct the better type of Zoysia is called Zenith and also the seeds comes with a mix with mulch to keep the seeds wet longer.
