Buying for next year....

I am not really into buying for next year, but with the sales at some of my favorite stores I cannot help myself.
For those of you that are successful at guessing the correct age, do you usually skip a size or buy the next size. EX my dd is wearing 18 months, do you think I should jump to 2t in winter stuff???
Thanks for any help!

If she's in 18-24 months now, I think a 2T is safe.

Buying for next year is always easier after they've reached 2T. Clothes are usually good for a longer time - unless you have a taller than average child - mainly because they tend to slim down because they're more active.
