Re: c/s moms

my was gone within a few days of being home. If I remember correctly everyone said about 2 weeks until you feel better. But I felt better by the end of week 1 so everyone is different.!

I felt fine by the time I was home from the hospital, but I also remember I had a hard time sleeping for a few weeks because I couldn't "roll over" with the incision. Pretty soon I forgot all about it and I was happy as could be.

I was feeling much better by the end of that same week. But you still have to take it easy. Walking for long periods of time still brought back the pain a couple of weeks later. The actual pain of the incision doesn't last very long. I think I stopped taking the pain medication a couple of days after I was home.

It took 1 month for the pain to completely go away. Now all I have is numbness.

I agree with the walking for long periods of time. I went to the mall with my mom yesterday (Hayley was watching the Yankee's with Daddy), we weren't there long but I felt like I was going to pass out from exaustion when I got home.

Katherine's going to be 4 weeks on Wednesday and I still have tenderness in and around the incision site and it's all weirdly numb. I just got the "steri-strips" off last week and the doctor said it was normal.

I would say that all pain was gone in 4 weeks but I was feeling pretty good by the time I came home from the hospital. Though I did have more pain on one side more than the other.
