C-section mommies and working out...
How long after can you workout again? At my last appointment she said bascially just walking, but I don't go back for another 6 months and didn't think to ask when I could pick it up a bit. I lost a lot of the baby weight, but I still have about 10 lbs to go before I'm back at my pre prego weight. Any workouts you could recommend?

@ 6 weeks, i was told to "ease" into it but no restrictions
at 15 weeks, have i eased into anything? nada!

I know I ask like I was all gung-ho with working out beforehand, but really I wasnt! This extra weight is totally getting to me though, especially when I see myself in pics!

Would love some info too! 1 week postpartum and don't go back for 2 weeks.
And to add (sorry to hijack) if you could say how long it took for the incision swelling to subside?

my doctor told me 8 weeks so at exactly 8 weeks I started P90x...yea not a good idea. I was in so much pain DH almost took me to the hospital. I asked the doctor why did you tell me I could work out, I was in so much pain!He was like I meant workout as in take a walk or do some light cardio...oops!

I healed quickly and felt good so I walked weeks after my section, hit the gym (elliptical really) about 3 months after, and at 4.5 mos I'm hitting the gym hard with my trainer. I think it really depends on your body and how you're feeling. Don't push yourself if your body isn't ready
