C-section Pain - advice please
I had Lucas almost 4 weeks ago . This weekend I picked up Jeremy (all 25lbs of him) to put him in his car seat. That was Sunday. Monday morning I woke up with a burning pain in my incision area on the right side. It hurts constantly. Hurts enough when I move to make me take a left over Percoset because the 800mg of Mortin wasn't doing a darn thing. I really don't want to go to the doctor because if I just pulled something there is nothing they can do for me or do you think it is something more serious??

you need to go to the doctor. yes, you can pull something in your incision and that buring pain after 4 weeks is def not normal.

Re: C-section Pain - advice please
I couldn't lift my nieces (around the same weight) until around 5 weeks and even then I felt pulling. I would call the doctor if you're having a constant burning pain just to be on the safe side.
Hope you feel better!!

Re: C-section Pain - advice please
i tripped and fell 10 days after the girls were born. My incision was hurting for a few days. But I had no bleeding, just sore. I took motrin also.

Re: C-section Pain - advice please
I remember at 4 weeks I was still getting stabbing pains. If you did something inside (like ripped open stitches or something) then you would see bruising.
I would call your doctor just to be safe.
Hope you feel better!

Re: C-section Pain - advice please
i had that burning pain with my 1st C, after it opened a tiny drop
make sure the incision didnt reopen or it could be just a little pressure that made something pull if that makes sense

That does not sound normal. I would go to the doctor right away. At 4 weeks pp I was 100% back to normal.

Karen I would at least call the doctor and tell him/her what is going on. You want to be sure that you didn't tear any internal stitches!

Re: C-section Pain - advice please
Your internal incision heals a lot slower than your external incision. Maybe just call the doctor and explain what happened. That's what they are there for.
