Re: Caffeine & TTC
I asked this question a while ago, since I have a med. cup of coffee everyday as well. (I don't know how I can do with out it!) The girls said their doctors told them if it's what you do everyday, then it's fine.
I'm starting to wonder though... since I tried for 3 months so far now and I didn't cut the caffene out. I wonder if I cut it out for this next cycle I'll get preggo.........

Re: Caffeine & TTC
Tea has much less caffeine than coffee. Can you start weaning yourself off..
My friend goes to 7-11 every morning for her coffee and she started mixing 90% caff with 10% non-caff and weaned herself off of the caffeine. It might work that way.
I know I love my cup of tea (need that hot cup to hold in the morning... it's a ritual) but I now limit myself to one caff cup and it's decaf for the rest of the day.

Re: Caffeine & TTC
I was told to try to cut out caffeine when we were TTC. Here's a part of an article I found:
On the other hand, for women, even small amounts of alcohol may interfere with fertility. Drinking alcohol in any amount reduced conception by up to 50 percent. Drinking more than one cup of coffee a day also seems to have a small negative effect on fertility for women, but may increase sperm motility in men if drunk before making love, so make yours decaf and his espresso. For men and women to optimize their chance of conception, a nutrient-packed diet that supports a healthy weight along with a multivitamin supplement with 100 percent of the recommended daily intakes is best. Men should be sure to get adequate zinc and vitamin E.

Re: Caffeine & TTC
I have been reading a couple of bereavement books all which discuss TTC again after loss and each and every one of them suggests staying away from caffeine. If I can find it, I will FM you something I found about tea being better than coffee and soda.

Re: Caffeine & TTC
I have 1 cup of coffee a day. I don't drink soda or iced tea (except on rare occasions) and I'm not a chocolate person...so I really don't have much caffine in my diet. I'm keeping my 1 cup of coffee in the mornings and when I get PG I will reduce that to 1/2 cup as long as it's OK with my doctor. I need my caffine in the morning, I really do...

Re: Caffeine & TTC
I also have 1 cup of coffe a day, and rarely drink soda. If so, I drink caffeine free soda.
