damn I keep forgetting it's on. Love this show! Though some of it is so obviously set up (like the silly one with the motorcycle and his mom flipping out Reality shows are starting to get on my nerves in that way!).

me too! Always forget it's on, but the show annoys me sometimes. It's nothing like my Ace of Cakes! I love Duff and his crew. They don't stage anything.
BTW... I lived in Hoboken for 4 years and have been to that bakery many times. Not far from my apartment.

I can't stand that show. I love cakes and cake decorating....but I much prefer Ace of Cakes, or Amazing Wedding Cakes to Cake Boss.
I find him really annoying...the way he goes on and on about how amazing he is....don't tell me you're amazing...show me!

I live in Hoboken and the lines to get into this place since the show started are out of control!!
I have gotten things in there a few times before all the madness and I am not really impressed.
And the show is so annoying-- me and DH cannot stand to hear him talk. Everything he says ends on a high note! It's so contrived. We watch every now and then to see what they are doing around town-- some of their deliveries where they are "driving all over" are like a block away!

ITA... I posted b4 and said I was there when I lived in Hoboken. Got some cakes, but nothing spectacular. I always liked the cakes in the window display.
Where in Boken do you live? I miss living there! A lot of my friends are still there and we go once in a while to visit.

Really? I don't think the cakes on Amazing Wedding Cakes even come close to being as good as the ones on Cake Boss. He may be annoying to some, but he is SUPER talented.

Really? I don't think the cakes on Amazing Wedding Cakes even come close to being as good as the ones on Cake Boss. He may be annoying to some, but he is SUPER talented.
I guess that's why art is so subjective. I feel like I could do a lot of the cakes on Cake Boss with the right equipment....where as the
guy who works with buttercream on Amazing Wedding Cakes amazes me! And Lori who blows sugar to make it look like glass....incredible!

Agreed. I'd much rather watch Ace of Cakes. Even if some of it is scripted, at least it's funny.
