Calf-tender to the touch

I woke up this morning and an area of my calf is very tender to the touch. It feels like I should have a huge, nasty bruise, but nothing is there. Its not swollen and really only hurts when I touch it (even the lightest touch). I did not hit my leg on anything I am aware of.

Any one have this before? I told my mother and now she is panicked that I have a DVT.

Did you get a charlie horse in the middle of the night? Sometimes if I get a bad one, the next few days my calf is SO sore.

do you have any warm feelings in the area or pain when you walk? It could be a DVT so I would check it out ASAP
