Call the buyers agent or just call realtor?update
So DH finally has a day off today. I am in love with a house. Under budget, subdivision that I really want...drove by last night with DH he loves it too.
I called buyers agent yesterday(nicest guy) and he will be out of town starting this afternoon, his brother is terminally ill. I said no problem, we can wait for you to come back. DH is freaking out, he wants to go see it and make an offer.
I don't want to go behind buyers agent's back, he offered to set something up today before leaving, but I felt bad knowing that his day is going to be hectic anyway..DH wants to call the house realtor and have us see it today. Would you do that, should I give the buyers agent a heads up?
TIA
Update:We bid, but the others had accepted the counter, so we were a little too late. Going to bid on the house around the corner from that house tomorrow. (The one I originally wanted, but no garage, and we have to do all the floors asap)
sooooo...hopefully tomorrow is it!

Re: Call the buyers agent or just call realtor?
the buyers broker does not have to be with you and he can sill get commision - i would call him and ask for him to set up an appointment for just the two of you to visit
if you like it tell your broker and have him call the other broker and learn how long the house has been on the market, have there been other offers and when they were made, do they have another house yet, when they close on that house - all impartant negoting points
good luck

Re: Call the buyers agent or just call realtor?
thanks for your quick reply!!
I just called buyers agent, told him where we are at....that I am trying to be considerate, but DH is going to live in fear that this might be the one and it passes us by...he is free until 2 PM today, so he is going to see if we can get into the house.
I hope this is it! thanks again

Have an appt. at 11!! He is going to take us, we are picking my sisters up at the airport at 10, works perfect!! they can see the house to and report back to my parents that we are being resonable, in our price range, and a cute neighborhood.
ETA: when snooping around, house was vacant. Good sign right?

You can do that and just tell the house agent you will be working through a Broker.
He offered to show it before he left, DO IT!!!

well we loved it and put an offer in. felt so good to finally do it. However, an offer has already been made by someone else, and it was counter offered, so the seller is waiting to hear back. Hopefully we get it, if it was meant to be it will be!
thanks for your help

OMG the same thing happened to us!! Other buyers had a "good faith hold" and we bid over asking and sent in the pre-qual and the pre-approval from the bank. All this on a Friday! We were not playing!!
I hope you get it...if it's meant to be, you will!
