Calling all New York City Teachers
I wonder if anyone can help me? I got an interview with NYC DOE. I'm hesitating scheduling because I'm nervous about the placement situation. Can you turn down a placement and still work for the city once you've signed a commitment letter with the city? Any info. would be helpful.

When I got a job in NYC, I signed a committment letter and then attended placement fairs. If by Sept you do not find a placement then they will place you but I don't think you have to accept it.
