Calling all pumping moms
Anyone use the Medela SoftFit shields or I also just read about Pumpin Pals....anyone use either of these?
I work full time, so I pump a lot. Looking to increase production a little.

Re: Calling all pumping moms
I'm curious as well.. I saw them this weekend and wanted to try them out (since the pump is destroying my nipples) but was unsure of how they work. The "massage" part through me off-lol

I am doing research, but they are supposed to help increase output....here is a quote from a website
"A delayed milk ejection reflex after several months of pumping at work can be helped by switching to the Medela SoftFit Breastshields . Milk supply can be enhanced by using a soft shield which massages the breast and aerola while you pump."

I'm usually doing the "massaging" myself! LOL!

Re: Calling all pumping moms
I used them and found them to be more comfortable. I'm not so sure how they were as far as increasing supply but they were more gentle and allowed me to pump for increased periods of time.

Re: Calling all pumping moms
I have the Avent Isis Duo and it has has something similar
i tried the pump with the shields and without and it was definitely more comfortable with them
as far as helping to not destroy your nipples -- mine are still getting destroyed with the avent shields
