Calling old wives- found grey hair
Ok I just found my first grey hair. I really dont care, I am almost 30 and Im surprised it took this long.
Do I pluck it? Will two grow back, or is that an old wives tale?

i always pluck mine with tweezers! i think it's an old wives tale that if you pluck 30 of them will grow back

i pluck mine. i have like 20 on the right side of my head by my ear since i was...get this...12.
Only those grow back, not double

Since my hair is growing back in from Chemo, I have a TON. I am just leaving them...maybe I will dye them. Can you dye grey hairs?

I'm all about coloring my hair. I would probably be totallly gray if I didnt.

yes you can. When i died my hair i used to use Feria. it worked great

don't pluck! grey hairs will eventually grow in thicker & if you pluck it speeds the process.
Mascara it if you have dark hair

You can definitely. Make sure you use a permanent colour with high grey penetration. OOh & stay away from anything with a red base, the greys may be resistant the first few times you colour & might turn orangish or pinkish. (as my mother found out the hard way when colouring her post-chemo hair)

My problem with plucking is not that more will grow back (don't believe that) but as the hair grows back in, you have this wacky short hair sticking out that you may not see right away. It makes it more obvious that you have grey,
Of course you can dye grey

I've plucked a few but now I color it. And, yes, you can color grey hair..I have no problem covering mine with a semi-perm color..I go a tiny bit lighter than my own color..it's very close but has a lot more depth.
