Calling teachers or parents (or both!)
I received a phone call today from the parent of a student who transferred schools and she wants to hire me as a tutor for her daughter. The content would be 9th grade Spanish. How much should I charge per hour? I want to be fair. So...teachers, how much would you charge, and parents, how much would you pay?
This is in a very middle class neighborhood to give you an idea of my demographic.
Thanks!

Re: Calling teachers or parents (or both!)
I kind of didn't decide what I charge (someone did it for me, but I won't complain b/c they also got me the job!), but I charge for this particular child $40/hr or $75 for two hours/week.
If I was doing it for someone new, I would charge $50, to start.
