Calls in the middle of the night
The past few nights we have been getting phone calls from a random person. Their number is blocked, so it's not like I can even call back to figure out who it is. The first night, it was 3 calls between 1 and 1:30 and last night it was 2 calls between 4 and 4:15.
Of course when the phone rings, I immediately think "OMG - who died?" Morbid, I know, but that's how my brain works.
Doesn't this person know that I need my beauty sleep??? 
All calls were to my cell phone, which I keep on all the time. We don't have a land line in our apartment, and I keep the phone on in case of emergencies.
I am exhausted today

I've been with DH for over 4 years and haven't had an ex since college - 7 years ago... I thought about that also, but there's no way it could be an ex BF

Have you answered it yet? If so, what has the person said? Maybe if you haven't answered it, next time maybe you should (annoying, I know) and tell them they have the wrong number and to please stop calling!

Not morbid at all- I get very anxious when my phone rings at an off time. Once you're out of college and past the drunk dialing thing, it's not cool to call someone past a certain time.
Is the number coming up as "private"? I am not sure how you do it, but there is a way to set up your service so that you cannot take private calls and the person has to dial *82 to get through.

Seriously - it's been 2 nights - it went to voicemail 4 times - you would think they would get it that it's the wrong number

I used to get something like that when I lived at home w/my parents and had my own line. It wound up being a recording from some company out west and I could never get in touch w/them to fix the situation.

my DH gets wrong #'s sometimes on his cell however they are always from someone speaking spanish and we can never get them to stop!

Are any of your family numbers private? If not, I would make it so that your phone wont accepted blocked numbers. That way, they will either have to reveal who they are, or they wont get thru...

A couple of days after the Tsunami, we got 5 or 6 phone calls in the middle of the night, collect call from some foreign sounding name. I would constantly decline the call, decline the call and they would KEEP ON calling back. It wasn't until the 5th or 6th call and I screamed out "I dont know who the hell you are, i dont know anyone from your country, stop bothering me" that they stopped calling. I kind of felt bad, considering maybe their country was washed away.. but then again how was I going to help them, at least I got them to move along to somebody else, that might be whoever they are looking for.
On my cell I get them all the time, I let them goto voicemial and then listen to it. Everybody calls for a guy, yet they hear my name and female voice on the VM but they still leave a message for Joe. Most of the time its funny to hear what someone else is up to.
My DH gets one occasionally - one girl kept on calling back for hours insisting that he was Mike and that he was just messing with her when he kept on saying that he wasn't Mike. So I called him Mike for a while and it would tick him off!

I've had the same cell number since 2004 and I STILL get calls for a girl named Caroline (ironically, that is my sister's name too) and people don't believe me when I say I am not her!!

I only answered it the first time and they just kept saying Hi, it's Mike! The rest of the time I let it go to voicemail and they didn't leave a message.
Hopefully we'll get a full nght's sleep tonight...

and then he'd answer:
"Mike Ock"

You are a better person that I... I would have changed my voice mail to nastily address "Mike" and tell him to quit the drunk-dialing because he sucks at it.

I've had my phone number for almost 2 years and I get calls for an lanscaping guy named orlando still.
it was so bad for a while that I had on my voice mail messege this is no longer orlando's number. I would ansswer the calls and tell them they have the wrong number and the same people would stil call it drove me nuts as soon as spring clean up starts I'm sure i will start getting the calls again.
Hope your guy gets clue ans stops calling you.

I used to get a man speaking chinese calling me all the time. He was in Minnapolis so I kept asking him "How is the Mall of America?" I guess I asked him one too many times, he stopped calling.
Do you have privacy manager on your phone? Enable it so he cannot get through.

I was getting these for the past 2 years on my cell too, until I changed my outgoing message. Now it says
"NO HABLO ESPANOL! If you are trying to reach Cathy, please leave a message."

Funny.....that's usually what I am thinking too when my phone rings at random hours!
EXCEPT that my phone is SUPPOSED to ring at random hours and I STILL feel that way!!!
