Camera and memory card question

I have a Sony Cybershot camera with 8.1 megapixels. I also have a 512 mb memory card. How many pictures can I take with that card?

TIA!!!Chat Icon

Re: Camera and memory card question

I'm going with about 200 on highest resolution. Probably wrong, but with my 7.1 mp and same card, I get about 230.

Doesn't it tell you as soon as you put the card in?

Most cameras will tell you the pictures you have left when you put the memory card in. Look at the discplay screen and put your settings on.

I have a 6.0M camera and a 1GB card and I get close to 900 pics on a medium resolution.

Re: Camera and memory card question

Stef, I have the same, exact camera and a 1GB card...I have it on the medium setting and it has 731 pics on it...I am assuming yours would be close to half of that on this setting...

If you turn it to the "take pics" setting it tells you how many pics you have left. If you have it on the "view pics" setting it tells you how many pics you have taken...

I also have some inadvertent "videos" taken on there for when I flip the setting up instead of down so that may effect memory too...

let me know if you have anymore questions...

I just looked up the DSC-N2 and in the upper right hand corner of the screen there should be a little camera icon, to the left of that is a number (like 400)...that's how many pics you have left. It's next to the pic quality (Fine, etc).
