Cameron Diaz hospitalized after her father’s death
Cameron Diaz is seeking “medical attention” after the sudden death of her beloved father, according to her What Happens In Vegas co-star Ashton Kutcher. The actor is currently in London to promote the movie without Diaz after her father Emilio, died last week, aged 58.
The 30-year-old expressed his concerns for Diaz at the movie’s premiere in the British capital on Monday night. He told a WENN photographer, “Sadly she will not be joining us for the premiere as she has just lost her father and is under medical attention with stress at the moment. But she will be better soon.”
Kutcher went on to thank the paparazzi for their concern for the heartbroken star, adding: “I will be telling her of your get well soon wishes and condolences following her father’s passing on.”
On Saturday, Diaz was joined by ex lovers Justin Timberlake and John Mayer at a memorial service in California.

Am I the only one who thinks Ashton should have kept his mouth shut & just said she's dealing with her dad's death and won't be here?
It wasn't his place to volunteer she's getting medical attention.

i would agree with this, unless he spoke to her agent and got the okay to release this info.

Did I miss something? Does medical attention automatically mean she's in the"hospital"? Maybe he prescribed something for her to sleep. Not necessarily hospitalized
I'm sure she's exhausted after the week she's had.

I feel horrible for her that her father died, but let me ask you this....when you lost somebody close to you did you need medical treatment? I think it's a publicity stunt on Ashton's part...I HATE how when anything happens to a celebrity it's 100x's worse or better then when it happens to a real person. JMHO

I know many people who were drugged until they could cope with a sudden death.

No- not her father's death. G-d forbid. That's disgusting. (sad thing, I'm sure someone involved in the movie thought about it).
I meant the hospitalization/medical attention being a publicity stunt (or at least Ashton's talking about it). I mean, the movie plug is in the first line of the article.

Publicity stunt? Come on, her father just passed away and I don't think that anyone would ever use that to get publicity for a movie.
Why is it so hard to believe that she needs some help after losing her father? We all grieve differently and I can't even imagine going through what she is at this very moment.

That's not what I mean.
I don't think her seeking medical attention is (necessarily) the publicity stunt. But I think talking about it is.
As someone who lost their father young, I sympathize with the grief of losing a parent. Its awful.
