Camps

Is it too late to sign up kids for day camp? Any suggestions to camps that won't require a 2nd mortgage?

Thank you!!!

Re: Camps

You could probably still sign up at many camps. Where are you and what type of camp are you looking for?

Re: Camps

Most camps have different 'sessions' - so you can def get in for session 2 or 3 in most places. Barb (Nrthshgrl) put together a great and comprehensive list of different camps and prices. I know the YMCA was the most reasonable during my search.

Good luck!

Re: Camps

Just bumped the list.

From what I've seen the YMCA is the most reasonable.

I'm missing a bunch of camps in the area but almost all have availability or shuffle around age groups to accommodate.

Re: Camps

I'm in Lindenhurst. I'd like to get them in somewhere that is a full day for at least a couple of weeks. We're going to Disney in August, so maybe at least the end of July through the 2nd week in Aug? I have b/g twins, so I'd have to send them both, which is why I can't do too much.

How is the Y's program?

Thanks, Barb, for the list! I'm def checking it right after this reply...

Re: Camps

That does not include transportation - they offer it - I just don't have the cost of that.

Since they have not completed kindergarten, they would be in Kiddie Camp

Fees/Programs
Full Day 9:30 am – 3:45 pm
Kiddie Full Day M - F $895 / 3 week session
Kiddie Full Day M, W, F $580 / 3 week session
Kiddie Full Day T, Th $420 / 3 week session

Half Day 9:30 am – 12:30 pm (No swimming lessons)
Kiddie Half Day M, W, F $385 / 3 week session
Kiddie Half Day T, Th $290 / 3 week session

Extended Day
7:00 am - 9:30 am $100 / 3 week session
3:45 pm - 6:00 pm $100 / 3 week session

Hope that helps!
