Well they did and I answered honestly I'm going back today for another interview if they ask anymore unethical questions I'm walking out the door.

According to a resource we have at my office, the following are illegal questions related to personal/marital/family issues:
What's your marital status? With whom do you live? Do you plan to have a family? When? How many kids do you have? What are your child-care arrangements?
On the other hand, as long as the following are asked of every applicant for the job, they may ask these questions, legally:
Would you be willing to relocate if necessary? Would you be able and willing to travel as needed for the job? Would you be able and willing to work overtime as necessary?
Some tips for answering illegal questions: * You can answer the question, but remember that you are giving information that is unrelated to the job. * You can refuse to answer - but may turn off the employer. * You can examine the question for its intent, ie., if they are asking if you have childcare taken care of, you can assure them that you can meet the demands of the job in relation to travel/overtime.
I don't know if some employers even realize that they are asking illegal questions. If they weren't trained in Human Resources, many may not have any training before they are told to fill a position.
