Can anyone give me the rundown on Picture People?
I'm considering going there for DD's 18 month pics in a few weeks, but have never been...but the posts on here recently from them have been ADORABLE and more my style (we usually use Target, can't beat the price, but I was looking for something different this time, since I don't use props really and am more into the type of photography)
-- did you like them? Not like them? -- how are their prices? any coupons available? Are they worth the $? -- do you get the pics right then? -- do they limit the outfit changes/time of session/pics you can choose from (like Kiddie Kandids does)? -- anything else I should know?
Also, how busy do you think they'd be a few days AFTER Christmas? Christmas is on a Thursday, we'd hope to go that Saturday AFTER Christmas.
Thanks! It's a bit of a hike to go there so I want to make sure it sounds good before we trek out there!

I have never gone to PP so I am no help -- but maybe I'll meet you there when you go!
You like how I just invited myself (and Jack of course) to tag along - don't you!

That would be fun!!! You can ALWAYS invite youself and maybe Jack would help get some big smiles out of DD for the pictures

You can usually find a coupon for a free 8x10 + 20% off... add't sheet prices are $20 per sheet. If you are a picture club member you get an add't sheet for free + $10 off - it costs $30 to join but it essentially pays for itself right away and then if you go back any other time throughout the year it is great!
We did ds's pics there a few weeks back and used Aldo - he was great!
Hope that helps!

We had our first experience with PP this week. I can say hands down that it was the BEST photography experience (well maybe with the exception of Barb) that we've had. I can honestly say that I don't think we'll go anywhere else from now on. We went on a Wednesday night- around 5:30ish. It wasn't nearly as hectic as when we had passed by it during the weekend.
Our photographer was Kandisse- and she was the best! She was ULTRA patient with DD- who gets camera shy for professional pictures. We took family photos first- to get DD warmed up to her and the camera. She really got DD to smile ALOT (I think there was only 1 pic she didn't smile for- and that was at the beginning). There was really no time limit- and basically we were calling the shots in terms of props. She kept saying "is there anything else you see that you want to have her photographed with?" We had 1 outfit change for DD- and she was completely fine with it. I"m not sure if there is a limit of outfit changes- but time definitely didn't seem to be a problem.
When all was said and done- we had 20 (!) pictures to choose from- and I liked most of them! (Instead of like the 6 or whatever is that they let you choose from at KK).
We ordered prints, cards, framed pictures- and got it all within 10 mins of deciding on our final order.
I know the above poster said she uses Aldo alot- and he helped us choose our photos- and I can say that he was extremely nice. Alot of his photography is displayed around the store- so he must be a wonderful photographer as well!
We definitely spent more at PP than we have at KK- but that is mostly because we ordered 2 framed prints for our parents for Christmas.
I was really really impressed by PP. I will definitely go there time and time again. Even DH who really didn't want to go there, was really impressed- so much so that we bought a membership to there.
The only thing I didn't like is that they don't offer picture CDs like KK does. However, they do keep your pictures on file for 2 months (or 1 year if you buy the membership). If you give them your email address, they email you a website with the pics that you can order off of- and share with others as well.
