Can anyone recommend a great Endocrinologist?
My thyroid was larger than normal, went for bloodwork..
My tsh is normal but my antoboties are 600 and normal is 60./.so my body is attacking my thyroid.
Had a sono and they said I have 2 nodules as well.
hypothyroidism runs in my family..
Need to see a good endo?
any reccs??

Can anyone recommend a great Endocrinologist?
Are you in Nassau or Suffolk? I have Hashimotos also. I'm surprised that your TSH is normal with your antibodies that high. Are you feeling any symptoms?
I am currently switching Endo's so I don't really have a referral. But I was given the name Dr. Terrana in Nesconset. Someone told me he's awesome.

I'm in Nassau but will go anywhere for a good doc.
i'm tired alot, very itchy head, my hair is falling out more than normal.
My Aunt has hasimotos and every other person in my family has hyopthyroid..so its inevitable..

is it good to see an endocrinologist if nothing is majorly wrong? For instance, my father's whole side has diabetes, and my dad suffered for a very long time before he passed due to diabetes. I want to make sure my levels and everything in between is good. I see my dr every year and I am healthy Thank God. But is it good to check in with an endocrinologist or am I wasting my time and their time?
