Can anyone recommend a hospice facility?
My Grandmother is going to be moved to a hospice facility this week if she even makes it. Can anyone recommend a facility? TIA!

Re: Can anyone recommend a hospice facility?
I know visiting nurse services built a beautiful hospice house in east northport.
If she needs more hospital based care, Good Shepard hospice has beds in St Charles. they were also building a new facility, but I dont know if its done yet.
Talk to someone at the hospital, I am assuming shes in a hospital. The care manager/ discharge planner would be a good person. They can make refferals for you and save you the stress.

My grandmother is ironically in the exact same situation. I don't know where you are but she will be going to Medford Multicare.

Not sure where you're looking, but we were happy with Calvary in the Bronx.
I'm sorry you're dealing with this, I know how hard it is

Re: Can anyone recommend a hospice facility?
My grandmother has visiting nurses from the hospice house in E. Northport. She's doing OK now and we it stays that way for a while. My parents LOVE her nurses and we hear nothing but good things about the house itself. It's on Laurel Road.
I am so sorry! I hope your grandmother is OK
