Can anyone recommend a mover in Queens? - UPDATE in the first post

We are not having any luck so far.

Moishes was too expensive, and we are waiting on a quote from Flat Rate.

The problem is we have a huge sectional couch that would have to be disassembled and reassembled either by the company themselves or an outside company, both of which would be an extra charge.

Any reco's would be greatly appreciated!

We went with Ken's and they were AWESOME to say the least! A HUGE thank you to everyone who recommended them. They were on time, super sweet and actually entertaining, all around wonderful people to work with. Would you believe I actually had fun on my moving day? Everything went smoothly, nothing was damaged, everything was efficient, I couldnt ask for anything better.

Feel free to FM me with specific questions - they are based out of Queens but I believe they work in LI or out of state as well.

we moved from Nassau to Nassau but used Ken's Moving Service from Queens - they gave us a fair quote and were fine to work with....no issues!

I used them too, courtesy of Lisa's recommendation. We've already recommended them to 2 other people who had great experiences as well!

Re: Can anyone recommend a mover in Queens?

It probably was Lauren! I remember they were friends with the owners daughter! It was someone from one of these boards Chat Icon

They were great though and I should mention that they actually charged us UNDER their quoted price to us - that was honest IMO. They could have just charged the full price and we wouldn't have known the difference.

Re: Can anyone recommend a mover in Queens?

I can tell you NOT to use Apollo moving (if they are still around) My SIL moved from Bayside to Florida and on the way they hit an overpass, The roof of the truck came off and they lost EVERYTHING. My SIL had no idea until a ryder truck showed up to her house (late) and when they were bringing in the boxes everything was borken Chat Icon

Re: Can anyone recommend a mover in Queens?

Call Moveco - They give you a flat rate. They are very fast and very detailed. The wrap everything. They also supply you with all of the wardrobe boxes the day you move. They are located in queens. My whole family uses them, and I recommend them to everyone. Everyone that uses them says great things about them too
