There is a place in Ronkonkoma called Hounds Town that I have heard is really good! A few of my friends use them and love them.

We've always brought our dog to Quail Run in Medford. We started when she was a puppy and used them ever since. 14 years now. Never had a problem.

I have used the Hounds Town in Farmingdale for my parents dog when they come up to NY and need to board for a day or two and they loved it. The Farmingdale location is clean and big and the staff was great.

I'm afraid I have some not so great details about them. It was years ago but my dog was injured there by an employee's dog. The employee pretended she didn't know it happened, lied to my face when I picked him up, was callous about the whole situation, and insinuated that it was my dog's fault.
A manager emailed me the truth and confessed it wasn't my dog's fault at all. I never went back.
I don't know if she still works there but she had a large white dog that looked like a Boxer, I don't remember exactly what kind of dog it was. I've heard good things about the Port Jeff location.

Look up lead the pack on Facebook. She trains dogs and boards them in her house. She is also involved with rescue work.

I've used Cosy noses beD and breakfast several times. If I remember correctly the owner lives on site with 24 hour cameras which is why my mom started using them. They are off vets by Bohemia.
