I LOVE reading and want a good book to read.
Anyone know of a really good book, the kind you can't put down?

I love to read as well but please define "a really good book"
I know a few people who think that Danille Steel writes "really good books". Can't say I agree
What kind of style do you like?
Are you looking for a light beach read or more serious reading like historic fiction may be?

I really love books by Ann-Marie MacDonald. I read Fall on your Knees and The Way the Crow Flies.
I think she has another book -- Goodnight Desdemona -- and I want to read that also.
She is quirky, has a great sense of humor, but the books are pretty intense.

try reading any of jodi picoult books, they are very intense reading, I am reading keeping faith right now, her topics are different, and a different kind of book & author is dean koonz, if you like suspense with a bit of supernatural.

I like just about everything. I am looking for something you had read that you thought was so good that you didn't want to put the book down. No Danielle Steel though...

Re: Can anyone recommend a REALLY good Book??
I agree with A Prayer for Owen Meany
also
Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates by Tom Robbins. I love anything by tom robbins, but half asleep in frog pajamas is my least favorite.
I like Jitterbug Perfume, Still Life with Woodpecker, Another Roadside Attraction, Even Cowgirls Get the Blue and what's it called, the one with the veils, that was a good one.
I'm a HUGE Tom Robbins fan.
I also like the Harry Potter Series (addictive!)

Re: Can anyone recommend a REALLY good Book??
I liked Memoirs of a Geisha- much better than the movie- I read the book first- then saw the movie- I am glad I did it in that order!
Wicked is also very good- nothing like the musical- although the musical was awesome. Wicked isn't the easiest read, though. It's harder than you think it would be.

Re: Can anyone recommend a REALLY good Book??
Hi! I LOVED a book called She's Come Undone, by Wally Lamb. I read it years ago but it is still a favorite. And also The Lovely Bones is a GREAT book. I'm sure you've read it, but I am also a fan of Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Salinger.
If you read them let me know what you think. :)
