I am so tired of these vets who rush you in and out, don't even give you the opportunity to ask questions, then charge you an outrageous amount of money!

ETA: I'm in Nassau. Thanks.

OMG, my vets office is amazing. I have very high expectations and they meet them...I send them a gift basket every year b/c they are so awesome. My vet will return my calls, no matter what the reason, every time, same day that I call. I go many appts with a LIST of questions. They answer every one. I dont think they are expensive either.

They are in Nassau. I will FM you the info.

We use Crawford Animal hospital in Lynbrook. They are seriously fantastic and saved my Bella's life, so I would never go anywhere else.

I don't have a Nassau recommendation for you but I know what you mean. I didn't feel warm and fuzzy about our vet so I switched recently and feel much better about it.

Definitely - if willing to travel to Hauppauge - Towne Line Veterinary Group!

I posted last week about how amazing Dr. Gurtman was to my family dog (at the ripe old age of 14 and a half!) - even coming outside to examine him in the car when he couldn't walk. And he called the house two days later to follow up and see how he was doing.

I LOVE that practice and Dr. Gurtman!

We use Dr Franz at Woodbury Animal Hospital. Love him!

Its a hike for me but the rescue sends us there b/c they get a discount and they are paying all of Deisels allergy related bills. He is so thorough and really explains everything.

we actually use banfield in petsmart (levittown is the one we use) and we LOVE the vet and the people in the group... they also have a wellness plan which is around 25 a month per dog but includes all visits and all shots... it has saved us a bundle with the two dogs... it is great because with my golden he gets ear infections all the time and while i have to pay for the drops, the visits are included...

I'm really happy with Dr. Laporta and Dr. Fish at Massapequa Hospital for animals. My sister used to work there so we have always had great experiences there.

eta I find their prices very reasonable. there were times i would bring my rabbit in for a recheck and he wouldnt charge me. also my cat was nuetered, had teeth removed, feline lukemia aids testing and it was $250. I thought that was a good price

Sorry no suggestions for Nassau.

Mine was huntington Animal hospital and Dr. Kramer was just wonderful. Called us on his days off, on weekends, afterhours whenever was best for us just to make us feel better about our cats. Spent all the time in the world with us and helped us through the death of a cat. Chat Icon

Dr. Zimits in Mineola is amazing. She was sweet to my cat Gunnar even though he was a miserable old guy who hissed and growled at her constantly.
