Can anyone recommend their room thermometer?

I was going to get this one-- but, after reading some reviews, it appears to be inaccurate. Anyone found one that is reliable??

I registered for that one also and then read the poor reviews about it. I searched on Amazon and haven't found anything that is inexpensive and reliable. I figured it's not really that essential so I kind of gave up looking but if I come across something I'll post it.

this one seems to be gettting better reviews... I also looked at the non-baby ones, and the reviews are spotty.

ok-- I take it back, it's not a thermometer.

Re: Can anyone recommend their room thermometer?

I got this one from Bed Bath and Beyond and it seems to work fine (although definitely not as cute as your egg one!)

Thermometer

I like that it shows the humidity too - b/c we just started using it and found out that the humidity in our apartment is WAY too low and definitely have to use a humidifier in the baby's room in the winter. (We aren't using the part that tells the outside temperature).

We have this one and I like it. Seems pretty accurate to us. My husband is an engineer and is a stickler about these things and even uses the thermometer when he is brewing beer at homeChat Icon

Re: Can anyone recommend their room thermometer?

Honestly this seems like a waste of $ to me. If I walk into DD's room I can easily tell if it's too warm or too cold...the exact temperature isn't important. Can't you just set the thermostat in your house?

For me, it will give me peace of mind. I know that when the heat or AC is on, it can either get very cold, or very hot in there.

Without the air on, and the door shut-- as it probably will be for naps, and before we go to bed-- it can also get warm.

The air quality/humidity, etc. and temp has always been a concern of mine even before I knew they made room thermometers.

Re: Can anyone recommend their room thermometer?

A mom on here told me about a Vicks one from BRUs.. and I LOVE IT!!.. it gives you the temp of room and humidity level.. and on it has a little graph telling you what humidity level is best for.. like if baby/child has a cold then have it set for this level.. etc. i love it b/c I hated the idea of running the humidifier everyday and having in her bedroom worrying it would fall on her. Now I just take out when it says it needs it... which i barely use now.

We have one and its good because DH is always hot, I am always cold so we tend to disagree on if DSs room is a good temp.

We bought one from Radio Shack which also has humidity on it. DH wanted the humidity part due to my desire to constantly run the humidifier...now we only run it if its at a certain level etc.
