Re: Can anyone share their GD menu's please
3 weeks? That stinks!!! Here are some tips that my nutritionist told me... When eating carbs, stick to whole wheat/whole grain breads, brown rice and Dreamfields or whole wheat pasta. I measure out the pasta/rice etc so I don't go over my allowances. Avoid all candy, brownies, ice cream etc. Eat every 2-3 hours to keep your sugars on level. Make sure you combine some protein and carbs each time you eat. For example, have a cheese stick with whole wheat crackers, chicken with pasta, cottage cheese with fruit. It sounds confusing, but is easy once you get the hang of it!
I know I didn't really answer your question, but I hope the response helps!

Well, everyone is different, but some general guidelines: As the PP said, limit carbs and always have tem with a protein. No Juices. Small frequent meals. You need to experiment and see what works for you.
This is what a typical day for me was:
Breakfast- Multigrain english muffin with peanut butter (sometimes added polaner sugar free jelly) Snack- Dannon Light & Fit Yogurt Lunch- Ham & Cheese on Toasted WW with Mayo Snack- 100 calorie pack or some fruit Dinner- Chicken (I don't eat red meat) and some veggies/brown rice Snack- popcorn/fruit/almonds
It worked for me, I was able to control my sugars with diet only. I also took a 20 minute walk at least 3 times a week..this helps. I did allow myself to have pasta (whole wheat) once in a blue. You have to read labels..less carbs and more fiber is good!
HTH!
