Are those the ones right off 110 on Pinelawn Road? If they are, the traffic situation alone would make me look elsewhere.

I know someone who lived there for two years. They were very nice with amenities, but quite expensive.

We have a client that lives there. They pay for garbage and water on top of regular utilities. It is more expensive than most other apartment communities.
And like a PP said, the traffic alone for me would be a turn off

I wonder what those two bills run/month:) My DH works in Melville so for him it would be a breeze and I work in Queens and need to just jump on the LIE:) I now travel to Queens from out east so anything further in will be a treat for me. We want an upscale type of community with a great school district. Our DD is 2 years old:) Since we just don't have the down payment for a home we were thinking here...
Thanks for input:)
PS. Do you know if parking is easy? To people get a numbered assigned spot outside?

Ohhh...I'd love some info:) Does she have children? Can you find out how outside parking is and if tenants get an assigned spot? Also, what "types" of people live there?
TIA as I'd LOVE to talk to someone who lives there:)

You should check out the Villas off of Walt Whitman Rd... It's a smaller community, with a pool, a small but very nice gym, playground-- VERY close to the LIE. My mom lives there. I think there is always one or two for sale... it's a nice community.

no-- but, someone may be renting who doesn't want to sell right now. I could ask my stepdad, he's actually pres of the board there, but they are not in town right now. I can ask when they are back.

Re: Can Anyone Tell Me About Living At The Avalon In Melville?
I live in an Avalon (not Melville) and the garbage is $15 per month and the water is $25 per month for us. We gave a townhouse, so we have a garage attached, but our neighbors that do not have a garage do not have assigned parking. Also, we cannot have an additional car, because we have the garage & driveway, we are not entitled to any other the parking spots, and our truck takes up our entire garage.
Honestly I think they are a bit pricey for what you get. that's just my opinion.

Thanks:) You know, I drove into the one in Melville and I was to see what "looked" like a child care center in there called something like Early Imagination Center (unless its something else), ever hear of that?
