Can eating pizza with a lot of tomato sauce cause this much pain?!!? ouch!!

i am in so much pain right now.
i had 2 slices of pizza.. it was a specialty pizza . it was very saucy and had like 3 small dollops of fresh mozzarella..

as soon as i finished it, it felt like someone kicked me in my belly.
is it the acid that is doing a number on my stomach?

i just chewed on a maalox.. hoping that will kick in.

tomato sauce tends to make me really gassy.

is it a bad gas pain?

I had pizza over the weekend and it made me feel pretty bad (gas pains, heartburn). So sad :( Hope you feel better soon!

i dont think it is a gas pain..
it just feels like someone kicked me REALLY REALLY hard in the stomach.
like i had to keep my hand firmly on my stomach to help the pain..

i think it is slowly getting a little better..
i took a maalox.

sounds like the sauce is doing a number on ur tummy. It's definitely acidic so its prob burning ur stomach, try mylanta, that should help.

Tomatoes are SUPER acidic and terrible for women with reflux... which is all preggos. Like orange juice, my OB said tomato sauce is like battery acid. Sorry.
