Can I ask for some help.
I don't usually post on this board, since my daughter is grown.
But, next week my daughter will be getting married making me a grandma to her 3 yr old step-daughter.
While DD and her DH are on vacation, I will be baby-sitting.
Can anyone recommend some cute games or toys that I can pick up that she might be interested in. I have no idea what the "latest" toys are for children this age.

Hope you have loads of fun bonding with your new granddaughter.
Hmmm...I would go to TRU and check out the board game secion. There are tons of things there that you guys can do.
Is money an issue? If not, how about picking up some "princess" type stuff and play dress up and make up with her, if her parents don't mind.

My neice played with poneys, soda pop girls, barbies, doll..
You can take her to the childrens museum by nassau college. My neice and nephew love going there.

Since you're looking to bond with her, I would play dolls, dress-up, have a dance party (which is really just dancing around your living room with her).
Pumpkin picking, apple picking
Also as BabySammie suggested LI Children's Museum is always a hit.

My 3 yr. old niece actually loves Thomas the Train & any type of doll and pocketbook and just doing stuff outside...collecting leaves, playing in the park, etc. Have fun!
