Can I ask why is everyone getting their kids Halloween costumes now?
Not trying to be snarky or anything. Do they sell out quickly or something? Some of you have BTDT thats why I'm asking. Thanks!

They def do sell out quickly. Esp Tom Arma. He only makes a certain amount every year and when they are gone, they are gone.

How do you know what size to buy?

Nope. It really isn't that far away. I buy early every year. Andrew grows slow and usually costumes run big.

That's my concern which is why I posted my thread and haven't bought the costume that I LOVE.
But I'm confident that DD won't gain more than 2 pounds, I'm just afraid that she'll grow ANOTHER 2 inches, like she did in the last 2 months.

i dont have a good reason, i just like to get it done if i can. DD is older so we usually wait for hers so she can see what everyone in school is going to be. DS is small and doesnt have a say, so i get his when i have the money to do so.

I'm just thinking about it now because I always wait until the day before and then I wind up spending too much and not getting a really good costume.
Plus, this year I have two (2 years and 6 month old) so I want to do something really cute that coordinates.

I knew last year that I wanted them to be Raggedy Ann and Andy and found them both from one seller on ebay for a REALLY good price. Both costumes plus shipping is less than half of one at buycostumes.com and they said they were only worn once each. But if they really aren't in as great condition as promised I'm not out that much money and I still have time to order them new.

Last year the costume I wanted was on backorder and kept getting pushed further back - I was able to get it just in time for Halloween so this year I did it earlier.

I do not buy DS now, I just can't buy it in august! No offense to anyone here but the reason they sell out is b/c people are buying them in August. Also the fact that stores consistantly keep bringing out each season/holiday before the current season/holiday can even begin is annoying! JMO
