Can I brag about my niece for a second?
When my niece was born last year (September), both of her hips were dislocated. So within a few days of being born, she was put into a leg brace, so her legs would get back into their sockets. And she had to wear the brace for 6 months. That meant that she had NO use of her legs for those entire 6 months. The were sticking straight out from her body.
She started to try to crawl about 2 months ago....but her legs had almost no muscle tone because they hadn't been used at all for those 6 months. So she started physical therapy to help build her legs up...that was about a month ago.
I saw her yesterday and the crazy little kid is pulling up to standing already...and WALKING with a walker!! She had such a late start with her leg development, and she's not going to be a year for a few weeks...but she's right on target!
I am just so proud of her, and so happy for my sister. She was so worried this would really hurt her development. But nothing will hold her back!

That's great news! And the girls look so cute together. Funny thing is despite your niece's light eyes, she and Lily seem to have the same eye shape and placement. I see a family resemblance.

They totally do have the same eyes and nose! I always joke that they're just different models of the same baby - Lily is the Italian version, with her dark hair and eyes (and my husband's ancestry), and Lauren is the Irish version, with her reddish hair and blue eyes (and of course, her father's ancenstry).
My sister and I must have some strong genes!!

She is a perfect example of how RESILIENT little ones are!! YAY for your neice!!!
I must I say that your family makes gorgeous children...... Those pics of the two of them together are so cute- they are beautiful.
