I had hernia surgery on Tuesday and totally did NOT expect it to be this painful. Thought it would hurt for a day and that's it. Well...my stomach is swollen and I can barely get up and down by myself. You dont realize how much you use your stomach muscles for. I give c/s moms a TON of credit. I had a small incision in my belly button and cannot even imagine the pain c/s moms go through being they are cut open across their lower abdomen
Anyhow, do you know how many people, including my parents have said to me "I dont understand why you are in so much pain?" "Wasn't it laproscopic" "Why can't you get up and down by yourself"
Needless to say...the nut I am came into work today I felt bad b/c everyone was making it seem like I am in more pain than I should be. I figured I would come in for a couple of hours and make sure the important things are done (b/c my boss is incapable ) and go home. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I should have just stayed home in bed!
Thanks for letting me vent and complain! I know you guys would understand. On the plus side, DH has been an amazing help with DS being I can't lift or do anything with him right now. But he just got out of the hospital a couple of days ago so it is like the sick ward in my house
IMO, surgery can be very different on everybody. My gallbladder surgery was no picnic. It took me double time what it takes others and I had 3 small incisions. I had less pain in my c-section incision than I did with those laparascopic ones! So don't be hard on yourself. However, I say go home and rest!

To tell you the truth...I dont know if they did laproscopic or not Never thought to ask. I know I have a bunch of stitches and tape so I think he may have cut me.
And yes I am leaving work...I only came in for a couple hours to make sure some of the bills were paid here. But I should have stayed home

Sounds like they did cut you. If they did, I didn't think you could drive yet. Pleae be very careful heading back home. Feel better.
