Can I have some prayers....going for an endoscopy tomorrow
I know it is a simple procedure. I just want them to find out what is wrong with me.
After the fiasco at the ER last night I got an early appt today with Dr. Perlman from Massapequa Gastro Assoc. I broke down in his office crying from the pain. The pain starts right under my breastbone and radiates up my chest, I feel very bloated and gassy, horrible back pain that feels like back labor. Fortunately I am not nauseous anymore but I have had a low grade fever all day.
He doesn't think its my gallbladder, which I am afraid it is and they are missing. He thinks it's an ulcer or other inflammations somewhere in my upper abdomen. He is leaning towards an ulcer caused by the motrin and adviI I take often for my migraines.
I just want the pain to go away. He prescribed me something that helped with the pain for a few hours, but it is back and i can only take it once a day. It's over12 hours now with this pain. I am praying they find something tomorrow just so I can feel better

OOH Crissy! I'm sure everything will be fine with the procedure. I am praying its not your gall bladder too and hope they find the cause soon! Feel better soon!

I am walking in your shoes. Just had the endoscopy and it is not an ulcer. My ultrasound was neg on my gallblatter. I am going back on the 18th and asking for a Hida Scan as per the girls on here. I have every symptom of gallblatter, I know it sucks! Hope you feel better sooooon.

The procedure is simple...I hope they find out what it is. If it is the gallbladder...it's a simple operation and recovery was very easy... I hope it's an easy "fix:.

good luck..it is an easy procedure..DH has had it done.
one of our friends went to the ER a few months ago with pains in his chest ..he thought he was having a heart attack. it got progressively worse over a weekend so he went to the ER. did 1000 tests and it turned out he had something called a hilatial hernia. im not sure if im spelling that right.
said what you said..pain started under his ribs and went up to his chest. something to do with the acid from his stomach coming up into his espoghaus.
i forget exactly but sounds similar to you.
good luck. i hope they find a solution for you!

it does sound like gall bladder... I had an ulcer and the pain is mostly between he ribs with horrible heartburn

The GI dr said any kind of inflammation in the body can cause a low grade fever. Or I could have some type of infection.

I spoke to the dr about one today. But he wants to see if the endoscopy shows anything first.
My sono was negative too but the soon only shows gallstones. Not If the gallbladder is not functioning.

Good luck! I had one done last year and it was no problem at all. Very easy procedure, and I'm a total and complete wimp about anything medical. Hope they can figure out what's wrong!

I had one done a few months ago. I was so anxious. It turned out to be such a simple procedure. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon

Everything you described, reminds me so much of my gall bladder (I had a bunch of stones).
