Can I just tell you how much I hate
Eckerd! My doc called in a script for me at 2pm. I called the pharmacy to find out if it was ready for pick up at 6. They don't have it and have to order it and it won't be there until Monday!!!
I told the guy to call another pharmacy and see if they have it. But I still need to have the doc call it into the other pharmacy. Well my doc is gone for the day..
I'll have to wait until tomorrow!
I really need this script. I don't feel like paging him, I can use an over the counter product for tonight but I hate them. When was I supposed to know it wasn't going to be there until Monday, when I walked in there later?

Is this the Bethpage one (on Hempstead Tpke)? I hate them too! We've transferred all of our scripts to Walgreen's, but, I did have a similar situation with Eckerd once. They were able to fill it at the Wantagh store, so I picked it up there.
Are they able to do that for you?

I NEVER go to Eckerd anymore for OTC drugs, they blow! I always go to S&S now. great service and they never make you wait that long.

No, it's the one in Plainvew. Yes, the Massapequa store has it but since my doc called it in to begin with he has to call it into the other store and I'm not about to page him on a Friday night for this. I will call the office tomorrow.

I have no problem with their OTC stuff it's the pharmacy that blows. I'm thinking about changing it all over to Walgreens. DH has his stuff there but I don't like the store much.

I hate Eckerd. There is on on my corner and I get ****** off EVERYTIME I go in there - they stink...
Why do I keep going?
Because it's on my corner and I don't have to give up a parking spot to go there!

oops! I meant perscription stuff, not OTC. I used to go to Eckerd a lot b/c it was very close to my former job. they always made me come back and when I said I wanted to wait I got a

so annoying- good thing we have a Duane Reade right by us now that stocks it- and charges him 50% less then every where else

that's bs! if they can get the script from another pharmacy, they should - your doctor shouldn't have to call it in to another pharmacy. cvs used to do that for me when i used them - if they didn't have it, they'd get it from another cvs.
i've used stop and shop for the last year and a half now and they make me

i had the same exact problem there. i didnt realize how many people have problems with their pharmacy. good to know i wasnt the only one...i will definitely send my scripts else where now too!

I work at CVS Pharmacy. The Eckerd pharmacist can transfer a prescription to another pharmacy as long as they are not for narcotics. At CVS, if we get a prescription and we don't have the medication in stock, we call the patient to let them know. If they need to take the medicine right away, we offer to call other pharmacy.
