Can I mix formula and breast milk?
Since DD was so small when she was born, they had me supplementing with formula in the hospital. My milk is coming in, but its not enough to feed her all day long yet. So, my question is, since I'm still using the formula- can I mix the breast milk and the formula in the same bottle? Or do I have to give her seperate bottles?

You should not mix them together. Start with the BM bottle. Then use another bottle for the formula.

Re: Can I mix formula and breast milk?
Once in a while I will mix the two...first make the formula as per the instructions then add the breast milk to top it off. I used to do 2 oz formula and then add 2 oz breast milk when he was eating 4 oz. bottles.

I don't see why there would be a problem with mixing...however I know you shouldn't heat breastmilk in the microwave, while formula its fine to do so...as long as you warm it under hot water or give room temp, should be fine!
