Can I plan a christening in 3 weeks???

I want to have Katie's christening before my Dad has surgery for the cancer. His surgery will most likely be in 4 wks. Do you think it's possible to plan a christening in 3 weeks? It would be for about 30 people?

Yes - I think it is very possible.
I did my planning in about that time.
As long as you can get the invites out now - or start making phone calls, I think you are good.
Would you do a party at a restaurant or your house?

Definitely, start with the church and this time of the year, you should have NO problem.

Where do you live? If you live in Suffolk, I had my daughter's christening at La Villini (East Northport). Food was excellent and reasonable.

You can definitely do it! We had 28 people at a restaurant for Ryan's christening and the planning was really easy. I didn't do favors, but I did order 3 vases of flowers and some balloons for centerpieces. I ordered the flowers the week before and the balloons the day before. Good luck! Chat Icon

As long as you can get a date at the church, there should be no reason why you can't pull it together in 3 weeks. You will probably have to invite people over the phone, but I'm sure they'll understand.

I got a date from the church - Nov. 19th - now just have to see if it is OK as far as my Dad's surgery date.

I have to start making some calls for brunch/lunch - I'd prefer brunch because I love breakfast :) Any ideas as far as that goes?

When I was hunting around for Molly's christening...I got a very good price for dinner at La Casa. Also, 56th Fighter Group does a wonderful brunch and can accomondate large groups.

Where do you live? I think Nocello's (East Northport) does a brunch.

Meehan's in Huntington does a great brunch and they have a separate room AND are reasonable.

There is a place in Oakdale that does brunch. I can't think of the name. I know it's on the water and great price.
