Can I praise my Dyson?
The vacuum was making a weird noise so I took off the back of the machine which was SO easy to do and found 3 pencils and a Crayola Marker. Now with those things stuck in it's hose the vacuum still rocked!! (although once it was clear it worked better)
Moral of the story is having parts that pop off is FABULOUS and the vacuum has AMAZING power!

Which model do you have? My vacuum (Hoover only 5 years old  ) is on its way out and soooo beaten up!

It's the DC14 complete. Its gray with hints of purple. Its awesome!

OMG I used mine for the first time yesterday and it just rocked too!!  My carpet was "clean" or so I thought...tons of red clay!!
