Can I see pics of your blue rooms?
I originally wanted a really very light blue (almost white) and DH pooh-pooh'd it because he thought it was too cold. He's finally said I can do what I want, I bought a tester, he agreed to it, and now I'm having second thoughts...
Is blue just for baby boy bedrooms???

I don't think blue has to just be for baby boy rooms at all. There are so many different shades, are you using an inspiration piece like a comforter or something? It is known to be a relaxing color so I say go with it!

No - the smaller room is an Ice Blue from benjamin moore and the bigger bedroom (yellow bedding) is Silver Slate from Restoration Hardware.....

I think my inspiration was that I wanted to go with a shabby-chic French theme -currently the floorboards in the bedroom are painted white (although they're in really bad shape, so we'll probably carpet over), but I wanted to do all white trim and furniture and light colored walls. I have a blue-gingham duvet cover, so that's why I thought blue (other thoughts were really light lilac or green).

Thank you! I love Silver Slate also! Restoration Hardware has great colors, and you can just get the little chips and bring them to any place that sells benjamin moore and they will match it.

I really like the Silver Slate also...I think that's the color I'm looking for. Unfortunately, I'm in the UK, so no BM paint or Restoration Hardware for me Oh, how I miss RH!! I almost never bought anything, but I loved to look around!

lol I knew that color looked familiar and was wondering about the name. I also bought Silver Sage from HR. Great color! We're using it for our basement bath.

Aw, thanks! I actually think that the tester that I have is pretty similar - it's just really hard to tell when it's just a small bit of the wall.
Rachel - we're pushing it £££-wise going for Dulux instead of B&Q brand as it is!!!
ETA: This is the color we've chosen - but it looks kind of funny on the website... Image Attachment(s):

Re: Can I see pics of your blue rooms?
This is my son's room. I actually picked out the lower self-stick border from Home Depot, then picked the two blues to match the border. Painted the entire room with the darker blue (color of the molding), then did a faux ragging treatment with the lighter blue. It was a lot of work, but I love it. Image Attachment(s):
