Why is my son saying dada, baba, rara, gaga, but not mama? I can't wait to hear it, even if it isn't even towards me!!!! Aren't I the one who carried him for 9 months .

Then in a few months you'll have a day where it seems like it's all he's saying and you'll think "What happened to all the other words you used to say?"

He knows you carried him. He's saving the best for last.
I was told "M" sounds are the hardest for them to make. I considered changing my name to "hat" for a long time. When mama finally comes out your heat will melt and it will be worth the wait!

At this stage, as much as we all want to believe it, they're not actually saying adult "words". They are just creating sounds, and learning how to move their mouth and tongue to make different sounds. Trust me, after a few years, the last thing you want to hear is "Ma?, Ma?, Ma?, Ma?, Ma...."
