Can I wear black patent leather peep toe pumps in December?
Please help me here, I'm fashion-dumb when it comes to shoes and handbags...
I have a black tie wedding on 12/2. I am 4 weeks post-partum and none of my shoes fit, except my black patent leather peep toe pumps. And they go perfectly with the dress I bought today.
My mom said patent leather is out of season.
Black patent leather always reminds me of christmas shoes (that we used to buy me from Fayva when I was a young lass )
Who is right? Can I wear them? HELP!!!!!
TIA

I'm pretty fashion dumb myself but I always think of black patent leather as winter. Like you said, that's what I always wore with my Christmas dresses. I think you're fine (and so does everyone else from the poll lol)!

OMG-fayva!
Yes-patent leather is fine in winter-esp. black. My Easter shoes were also patent Leather, but usually lighter colors, so maybe that is the association your mom has.
According to this patent lether was traditionall for summer. Weird--I never knew that, but it seems that is one of those old-fashioned rules that doesn't really matter.

Patent leather peeps...SURE CAN!!! I'm wearing mine today, granted it's not as cold as it will be in December but you can wear patent peeps all year round.
