Can pearl onions be peeled a day ahead ?
If so, what is the best way to store them?
Trying to save time anyway I can 
While I'm at it, what about shallots ??

Yes! My advice is pop them in some boiling water for maybe 3 minutes, peel them and pop them in the fridge!
